It was a nobleman’s house built in the Unhyeongung Palace site where King Gojong of Joseon dynasty lived. It was recently renovated as a traditional hanok. There are the main house and an annex.
It is a place with a story, and has been inhabited by a family for four generations. Since this place is directly operated by the landlord, it is operated more responsibly. The host also knows the surrounding area very well, and has a lot of information.
The host is operating the guesthouse in the hope that Korean and international guests are given more opportunities to enjoy Korean traditional culture such as hanbok, tea ceremony, calligraphy, and etc. in hanok rather than simply maintaining the hanok house.
